Monitoring System

For security purposes and to ensure that eCCRIS remains available to web users, BNM uses special software programs for monitoring network traffic to identify unauthorised attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise to cause damage to BNM's server system. These programs collect no information that directly identifies individuals but they do collectinformation that could help BNM identify someone attempting to tamper with eCCRIS.

If you use eCCRIS, you should take note that all activities may be monitored and recorded. Anyone using eCCRIS expressly consents to such monitoring and recording.

Log information

BNM's servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit eCCRIS. These server logs may include information such as the date and time of your visit, your Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, browser screen size and one or more cookies that identify your browser. The information BNM collects is only used to compile statistics, on an aggregated basis, on the usage of eCCRIS.

Cookies

What are cookies? A cookie is a small piece of information that is sent to your browser when you access a website. The use of cookies is an industry standard and they are found at most major websites.

On those pages where eCCRIS uses "cookies" to facilitate your use of the website, eCCRIS does not collect personal information about you. Cookies help eCCRIS to store user preferences and track usage trends on an aggregated basis. eCCRIS uses cookies to define user sessions as well as to provide a number of key features for eCCRIS usage reports. These cookies are unique to eCCRIS and cannot be altered or retrieved by any service on another domain.

Information from e-mail you send to BNM

If you decide to send to BNM an e-mail message, the message will usually contain your return e-mail address. If you include personally-identifying information in your e-mail because you want BNM to address issues specific to your situation, BNM may use that information in responding to your request. Also, e-mail is not totally secured against interception. Please send only information necessary to help BNM process your request.

Voluntary submission of information

On some of BNM's web pages, BNM provides forms which let you voluntarily submit personal information (such as e-mail address or name). For example, this occurs when you are submitting a feedback/complaint to BNM, participating in an online survey conducted by BNM or subscribe to BNM's "Email Alert" service. In those cases, all submitted information is used only for the expressed purposes for which it is intended and is not made available to any third party.

BNM maintains strict security standards to safeguard your personal information submitted to BNM (via email or voluntary submission of information mentioned above). BNM shall always ensure that the transmission, processing and storage of your personal data are in compliance with the Privacy Statement.

All electronic storage and delivery of personal data shall be protected and stored using appropriate security technology.
